    U.S. Springfield 1863 Percussion Musket.

    Unserialized, approximately .58 caliber, 39-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Top of barrel marked: 1863. lock marked: 1863 and (eagle) / U.S. SPRINGFIELD. Smooth hardwood full-body stock. Three barrel bands, each stamped with the letter U. Sling swivels and leather shoulder sling. Metal ramrod. Wood barrel plug. U.S. marked metal carbine buttplate.

    Condition: Very good as cleaned. Bright finish with noticeable signs of handling wear and surface rust. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising to wood. Action good. Bright bore.
