DescriptionU.S. M1841 Mississippi Rifle Harpers Ferry 1854. Metal with smooth dark patina with just some light pitting at breech. Barrel is original length, although both sights have been removed, obviously long ago. .58 caliber bore now smooth. The ramrod is a replacement, missing hammer screw. All brass with nice untouched patina and perfect. The stock, which also exhibits a nice dark smooth patina has been shortened to just forward of the rear band. Nicely marked on lock along with correct barrel proofs. Basically a nice Mississippi and certainly worthy of restoration.
Estimate: $1,400 - up.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.View More Testimonials
