    Tower Model 1857 Percussion Carbine. NVSN, .64 caliber, 24-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Lock is marked: 1837 / TOWER and British proof. Straight, one-piece walnut stock with brass furniture. Stock marked with: British broad arrow and WASHINGTON / US / ORD DEPT / NAVAL YARD cartouches. Lower tang marked: FORT / WORTH TEX / 1863. Rack numbers on buttplate. One sling swivel. Two barrel bands. Ramrod. Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grey age patina with heavy wear and pitting. Stock showing scuffs, scratching and bruising.
