    Slender Full Stock Flintlock Pennsylvania Rifle Upper Susquehanna School 40" .38 caliber octagonal rifled barrel signed J D in script. Fine maple stock, plain brass furniture, notched rear sight, elongated German silver blade front sight. oval silver escutcheons at barrel keys, unengraved German silver wrist escutcheon, set triggers. Four piece patchbox with a bird inlaid on the cheek piece and the unusual decoration of four slender brass strips radiating from a porcelain button inlaid behind the cheek piece. Classic 'eared' brass side plate. Forestock with several nicely replaced slivers, small piece missing above lock and a few nicely repaired hairlines. Set triggers require adjustment to function properly. An attractive and interesting rifle.
