    Kentucky Long Rifle.
    Unserialized, approximately .52 caliber, 45-inch octagonal barrel with dovetailed blade front and adjustable rear sights. Top of breech marked: JOHN / MAKER / ORRELL / JACKSON MO. Fine engraved Golcher lock. Handsome brass backplate with fancy border engraving. Newer tiger maple stock with old brass furniture including pierced patchbox, engraved borders and marked: H.W. PORTER. Patchbox release button on bottom of stock near toe. German silver engraved inlays on both sides of wrist. Cheek rest with large, spread wing eagle. Left side also with starburst and crescent moons inlays. Each side of forearm with 4 engraved German silver crescent-shaped decorations. Brass muzzle cap. Decorative 29-inch hardwood ram rod.

    Condition: Very good as configured. Barrel with a mostly smooth, dark brown age patina. Rear sight a later replacement. Original rear sight notch now filled. Action needs adjustment, will not stay cocked. All brass and German silver with nice age patina. Stock a later replacement. Ram rod a later replacement. Very strong bore.
