    European Percussion Rifle by Klauser.
    Approximately .62 caliber, 30 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with brass blade front sight. Fancy scalloped fixed rear sight. Breech with oval touchmark and stamped: IOS KLAUSER IN FRANKENMARKT. Plain percussion lock also marked: IOS KLAUSER. Beautifully relief-carved hardwood stock accented with scalloped brass on the guard, patch box and buttplate. Hardwood guard and double-set triggers. Left side of buttstock with cheek rest forward of fine deer carving. Sling button and sling swivel.

    Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel and lock a smooth, slightly mottled gray age patina with some pitting at the breech. Stock and brass are fine with dark age patina. Minor losses and hairline cracks to fore end. Upper tang screw absent. Action very crisp.
