    Engraved William Moore Boys Percussion Sporting Rifle.

    Serial no. 649, .36 CALIBER, 20-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Scroll engraved upper tang, hammer and receiver. Lock also features engraved game and WILLIAM MOORE. Sitting deer engraved to triggerguard. Checkered hardwood straight stock. Game scene engraved patchbox to right side of stock. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 1963 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.

    Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to stock. Action good. Pitted bore.
