    Description

Composite Half Stock Flintlock Target Rifle. Modern .45 caliber rifled Douglas octagonal barrel. Maple stock with German silver patch box, with brass ramrod pipes, trigger guard, butt plate and spread wing eagle inlay. Three pointed german silver inlays with 'winged' side plate and single screw modern flintlock marked "F. F. Queen". Hooded post front sight with large adjustable rear peep sight and pewter nose cap. Wood with crack at trigger plate and several other small relatively well done wood repairs. New wooden ramrod. The furniture and stock appear to have been salvaged from a period rifle with the other parts added to build a composite 20th century gun used as a 'shooter'. Still an attractive gun and likely a very efficient firearm for the purpose it was designed.
