    C. 1830 Lancaster County Pennsylvania Percussion Full Stock Rifle. 41", full octagonal, .45 caliber smoothbore barrel with smooth deep dark patina with just some pitting at the breech. Barrel is signed with the script initials "A. R." V notch rear, brass blade front, sights, both on dovetailed bases. Unsigned lock with simple decorative engraving. Classic Lancaster county brass furniture with daisy finial four piece, elaborately engraved patchbox. 3 1/2" Maple stock with artificially applied grain excellent, exhibiting a very high and slender wrist, and honest wear. 3 1/2" brass toe plate. There is a nicely done 3" repair behind the hammer and a 12" hairline on the forestock, easily repaired. Ramrod is original. A very impressive rifle, clearly having it origins in Lancaster county.
