Description

British Tower 1862 Percussion Rifle. NVSN, approximately .58 caliber, 38-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear adjustable elevation sight. Lock marked: 1862 / TOWER and (crown). Barrel, tang and stock all marked with the number 30. Walnut stock with barrel band, sling swivels and cleaning rod. Left side of stock stamped: 30 / OLD 13. Right side of stock stamped: BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS TRADE in circle with logo inside. Brass buttplate. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grey patina with heavy wear and pitting. Wood showing scattered scuffs, dings and bruises. Noticeable 5-inch crack to left side of forearm. Action good.
