    British Grice 1762 Dated Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. [Contemporary]

    Unserialized, approximately .74 caliber, 45-inch barrel with bayonet lug. (crown) / BP proof mark to top of barrel and upper tang. Lock marked: GRICE / 1762 and (crown) / GR. Smooth hardwood straight stock with sling swivels and brass furniture. Large blank brass escutcheon to top of wrist. Metal ramrod. Carved Native American head wood tompion. Note: After further evaluation, we have determined this Brown Bess to be contemporary and not 18th century. Please bid accordingly.

    Condition: Very good as configured. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Pitted bore.
