    American .54 Caliber Percussion Full Stock "Kentucky" Style Rifle. Although unmarked probably Lehigh County Penna, 39 1/2" octagonal smoothbore barrel, smooth and dark with mild pitting at the breech, brass dovetailed front sight and iron dovetailed rear sight. All brass furniture with an old coating of varnish, 2 piece spring closure patchbox. Handmade lock. The full length maple stock has a crack from the trigger guard to the lock and a piece broken out and reapplied from the barrel tang to the lock. Stock with a few shallow dents shows an old heavy coat of varnish. Hickory ramrod held with 3 brass pipes. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
