    "Confederate" 1841 "Mississippi" Percussion Military Musket by Robbins & Lawrence, Windsor, Vermont. .57 caliber, 33-inch barrel with brass front sight and open rear sight. Marked: U.S./J.C.B./P at breech. Two faint inspector cartouches on left side of stock. Lock marked: Robbins/ & /Lawrence/U.S./Windsor, Vt./1849. Walnut stock with brass barrel bands, furniture and patchbox. Steel ramrod. Inner side of patchbox door inscribed: S.C. [South Carolina?] Old piece of paper in patchbox with pencil inscription reading: "Joe Geserny Bought Jan. 1867/ ??Clyde M. Oct. 26, 1877". Sold together with Certificate of Authenticity from original retailer. Condition: Good to very good. Barrel with grey-brown age patina and scattered light pitting. Wood with wear and scattered scorch marks and minor repair to hairline crack in right side. Action good.
