Description
Winchester Third Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. 298904B, .44 W.C.F. caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. Cleaning rod absent. Manufactured in 1889.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of original finish in protected areas, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered wear and pitting. Upper tang screws are absent. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruises. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
