Winchester Third Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 704776B, .38 W.C.F. caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear buckhorn elevation sight. Blued finish. Varnished walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. No cleaning rod present. Manufactured in 1923. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

Condition: Fair to good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a brownish grey age patina with wear and pitting present throughout. Dust cover absent. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruises. Noticeable wood loss to right side of fore-end along top edge. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
