Description

Winchester Third Model 1866 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 43993, .44 rimfire caliber, 20-inch round barrel with front fixed sight and rear folding sight. Blued finish. Brass frame. Saddle ring. Walnut stock and fore-end. Crescent buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. No cleaning rod present. Manufactured in 1870.
Condition: Good to very good. Finish primarily a dark grey age patina with wear and scattered patches of pitting. Frame showing scuffs, scratches and some poorly engraved arrows. Dents and bruises present on wood. Light normal wear to buttplate. Action is good. Moderately pitted bore.
