    Description

    Winchester Second Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 125638A, .44 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Three-piece cleaning rod. Manufactured in 1883. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark brownish grey age patina with wear and pitting throughout. Wood showing scuffs, dents and bruising. Noticeable wood loss and cracks to fore-end, at wrist and butt of stock. "N" carved on right side of stock. Pitting to buttplate. Good replacement cleaning rod. Action is good. Dark bore.
