    Description

    Winchester Second Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 463894B, .44 W.C.F. caliber, 20-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Four-piece cleaning rod. Manufactured in 1893. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
    Condition: Fair. Finish primarily a dark brown age patina with wear and pitting scattered throughout. Wood showing scuffs, dents and bruises. Large section poorly repaired to left side of stock. Buttplate pitted with noticeable metal missing at base. Replacement cleaning rod. Action is tight. Bore is good with light pitting.
