Description

Winchester Second Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 265275B, .44 W.C.F. caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front blade sight and rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Crescent butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Four-piece cleaning rod. Manufactured in 1888. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grey age patina with scattered wear, scratches and pitting throughout. Wood has been refinished, shows wear, dents and bruises. Noticeable gouge to underside of stock. Replacement dust cover. Lightly pitted buttplate and cleaning rod. Action is tight. Bore is fair.
