    Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. 61776, marked .30 U.S. caliber [30-40 Krag], 22-inch round barrel with standard markings on left side of barrel breech and left side of receiver. Military style folding rear sight. Originally blued finish. Oil-stained walnut stocks. Checkered steel shotgun style buttplate. Manufactured in 1910. Total production reached approximately 425,881 from 1896-1931. Research and quotes with the help of Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms. According to Flayderman's, the Model 1895 was the first box-magazine lever action rifle to be successfully produced.

    Condition: Good to very good for this model. Light traces of bluing to protected areas. Showing an overall gray patina with areas of light pitting. Barrel near muzzle with light areas of surface rust [should clean]. Saddle ring mount missing. Wood with wear, bumps and mars. Some discoloration and finish loss to buttstock from old adhesive. Shotgun buttplate with some wear, mars and pitting. Action crisp. Bore very good.
