    Description

    Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. 78976, .303 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Sling swivels. Right side of stock stamped with a flaming bomb, with MP / 8 inside of it. 12 stamped to left side. Metal carbine butt, with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1915.
    Provenance: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Sold to benefit the Museum's collections and acquisitions.
    NOTE: This lot falls under the GCA Act and has Federal Firearms Licensing Requirements.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina, with scattered signs of wear and patches of pitting. Some bluing remaining in action. Noticeable bruising, dings and scuffs to wood. Few large cracks to top of fore-end. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
