    Description

    Winchester Model 1892 Takedown Lever Action Rifle. Serial No. 34038, .38 W.C.F. caliber, 24¼-inch octagonal barrel with Rocky Mountain sights. Blued finish. Two-line Winchester company address on the top of the barrel. 1884 patent date on the upper tang. Figured walnut stock and fore-end. Curved metal buttplate. Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 45-50% thinning finish, the remainder with a brown patina. Metal with light scratches and small areas of surface pitting. Stock with modest wear and one 3" crack on the right side of the butt near the buttplate. Semi bright bore shows uniform light pitting.
