Description
Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine, 2nd Model.Serial no. 46305, .44-40 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. H stamped to under frame near fore-end. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1880. Cody Firearms Records Office sear confirms on type: Carbine.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-75% finish with heavy signs of wear and pitting. Faint traces of case colors to hammer and lever. Scattered dents, cracks and scuffs to wood. Marred screws. Action and bore good.
