    Description

    Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine.

    Serial no. 61506, .44-40 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. Dust cover. Case-hardened hammer. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Carbine metal butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1880. Contained in unmarked leather saddle scabbard.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with thinning to relief edges, scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Cleaning rod absent. Action good. Lightly pitted bore. Discoloration and cracking to leather.
