    Description

    Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 42941, .44 caliber, 19 3/4-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and rear non-adjustable leaf sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Three-piece cleaning rod. Manufactured in 1880. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark brown age patina with wear and pitting throughout. Wood displaying heavy wear, dents and bruises. Noticeable large wood loss at wrist and base of stock. Dust cover and barrel band screws absent. Some screws marred or replaced. Replacement cleaning rod. Action is good. Dark pitted bore.
