    Description

    Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle.

    Serial no. 28242, .44-40 caliber, 24 1/2-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Standard configuration. Blued Finish with walnut stocks. Crescent buttplate. Antique. Manufactured in 1879.

    Condition: Fair. Appears to have been refinished and lacquered at some point. Metal parts with grey and dark brown patina. Marred and some replacement screws. Elevation sight ramp missing. Wood is poor with nicks, scuffs, mars and traces of mold from poor storage. Replaced lever catch near serial number. Action functions. Bore dark.
