Description
Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 625626B, .38 caliber, 24 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with brass-tipped blade front and buckhorn-style rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Oil-finished walnut stock with curved steel buttplate which contains one cleaning rod.Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 50-60% original finish. Receiver has faded to a mottled brown-blue patina. Traces of case colors on lever, hammer and buttplate. Scattered patches of fine pitting at lower tang. Fine bright bore.
