Winchester Model 1866 Yellow Boy Saddle Ring Carbine.

Serial no. 23321 [lower tang], .44 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. Winchester address and patent dates to top of barrel. Brass receiver. Case-hardened hammer, trigger and lever. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent brass buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1869. The Winchester Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine (SRC), often referred to as the "Yellow Boy", is one of the most iconic lever-action rifles in firearms history. Introduced in 1866, it was the first rifle to bear the Winchester name, following the success of its predecessor, the Henry rifle.

Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Cleaning rod absent. Action good. Strong bore.
