Winchester Deluxe Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle, Belonging to Amos Buck, Volunteer in the Battle of Big Hole Montana, August 9th & 10th, 1877.
Serial no. 93111, .45-70 caliber, blued 26-inch part round/part octagonal barrel with standard dovetailed front sight and ladder-type rear sight. Two-thirds magazine. Case-hardened hammer, frame, lever and fore-end cap. Tang-mounted, flip-up peep sight. Checkered deluxe walnut pistol-grip with factory hard rubber buttplate with factory logo. Hard rubber pistol-grip pommel cap. Condition: Very good. Barrel and magazine retaining approximately 70-80% finish with wear to relief edges and several tiny rust spots present. The remainder with grey patina. Slight traces of case-hardening remain, now faded to grey. Wood showing heavy wear and scattered light bruising to checkering. Action crisp. Bore good.
