    U.S. Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. 12275 [lower tang and right side of action], .30-06 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Top of receiver marked: U.S. Saddle ring. K.S.M. (Kelly S. Morse) inspector marks to top of action and left side of lever. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Carbine metal butt with cleaning rod reservoir.
    Provenance: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Sold to benefit the Museum's collections and acquisitions.
    NOTE: This lot falls under the GCA Act and has Federal Firearms Licensing Requirements.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina, with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising to wood. Noticeable cracks at wrist, stock and top of fore-end. Some wood loss along edges. Action needs adjustment. Moderately pitted bore.
