Description
U.S. Model 1860 Spencer Lever Action Musket. Serial no. 9691, .52 caliber, 30-inch barrel with pedestal front sight and three case-hardened barrel bands. Ladder type rear sight. Case-hardened frame, hammer, lower tang and buttplate. Oil-finished walnut stock tubular magazine in butt and CHH and DAP inspector cartouches. Sling mounts. Manufactured 1863-64. Approximately 11,470 produced [see Flayderman, 98-093]. Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-75% finish with scattered wear and pitting present. Wood with wear and numerous dents and blemishes. Action very good. Bright bore.Auction Info
