Description
Spencer Repeating Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 54386, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal carbine butt with tube magazine. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8905 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina, with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and pitting. Heavy dings and bruising present to wood. Large dent with wood loss to right side of stock. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
