    Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 Navy Carbine. Serial no. 1830, .52 caliber, 24-inch barrel with leather protective cover and standard sights. Lever activated siding breech. Sliding safety. Left side of frame marked: SHARPS/PATENT/1859 [star]. Right side of frame marked: SHARPS/&/HANKINS/PHILADA. Walnut stock with large period circular plug present. Brass buttplate. Sling mount. Condition: Good. Metal showing a dark patina and scattered surface rust and pitting. Sliding safety frozen. Leather covering showing checking and losses at breech. Stock with wear, large period plug and minor marks. Mechanically sound. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
