    Description

    Marlin Model 1891 Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 85543, .32 caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with blade front and buckhorn rear sights. Blued finish with case colored hammer, lever, and buttplate. Walnut straight stock and fore-end. This is a second variation with the final patent date being March 1, 1892.
    Condition: Very good. Retaining 60-70% finish worn mainly on the receiver, the remainder worn to a smooth plum patina. A few surface pits and wear at the high spots of the barrel. Stock with a few shallow dents and scratches. Strong bore with moderate wear.
