Description
Henry Second Model Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 10614, .44 caliber, 24-inch barrel with brass front sight and rear elevator sight. Top flat marked: Henry's Patent Oct.16 1860 / Manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co. New Haven, Ct. Brass Frame. Walnut buttstock, brass buttplate and stock numbered 10614, lower left side of tang also numbered to the gun. Lower tang with inspector mark W. Cleaning rod reservoir. Condition: Good to very good. Barrel showing a grey-brown age patina with scattered patches of moderate pitting concentrating near the frame. Barrel has been cleaned. Brass frame and buttplate with a mellow age patina with moderate to heavy areas of staining and blemishes. Lever and hammer with grey-brown patina and pitting. Wood with dents, marks and moderate scratches. Marred screws. Bore ok. Action good.Auction Info
