Description

Henry Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 9899 [barrel and buttplate], .44 rimfire caliber, 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with standard sights. New Haven address. Sling loop and sling swivel present. Sharp corner to top of brass buttplate. Cleaning rod reservoir with four piece cleaning rod present. Manufactured June, 1865.

Condition. Fine to excellent retaining approximately 75-80% original blue thinning to a plum-brown patina. Receiver is excellent with mellow patina to brass. Stock: Fine with scattered dents. Upper tang with counter sunk hex opening between the two tang screws. Very good bright bore showing light wear.
