Evans Navy Repeating Lever Action Rifle.Unserialized, .44 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front blade sight and adjustable rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Left side of barrel marked: JOS. A. STEIN. Top marked: (anchor) / 256 / (anchor). Left side marked: F.C.S. Smooth walnut two-piece stock and checkered fore-end.
Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with thinning to relief edges, handling wear, heavy pitting to receiver. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruises to wood. Action good. Strong bore.
