    Half Stock Target Rifle with Massive Barrel.
    Approximately .36 caliber, 34 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with hooded front sight. The top barrel flat marked: R.R. THURSTON/CUBA, N.Y. Engraved hunting scene lock marked: J. GOLCHER. Fine walnut stock with plated patch box, curved buttplate and decorative inlays. Pewter fore-end cap. Tang-mounted rear sight. Set trigger. Forward triggerguard screw absent. Triggerguard loose and with old repair.

    Condition: Fine. Steel a smooth gray-brown patina with scattered patches of fine pitting. Stock fine with a later re-varnish and scattered nicks and dents. Lock does not cock.
