    Half-Stock Percussion Rifle by Tryon of Philadelphia.
    Unserialized, approximately .54 caliber, 36-inch octagonal with dovetailed brass front and fixed rear sights. Top of barrel flat marked: TRYON/PHILAD. Engraved lock with game bird scene. Double set triggers. Fine, hardwood half-stock with brass furniture and ramrod.

    Condition: Good. Barrel a mostly smooth dark brown patina with scattered dents patches of fine pitting. Moderate to heavy pitting at lock and breech. Mellow patina to brass. Stock: Very good, having been sanded and showing patches of heavy soiling. Losses behind hammer. Ramrod is a replacement.
