    German Flintlock Short Musket by Stohr.
    Approximately .64 caliber, 29-inch rifled octagonal barrel. Blade front and later flip up rear sights. Lock marked: IC. STOHR / A. HANAU. Walnut musket stock with brass furniture and backplate. Top of buttplate marked: NO. 22. Vacant oval brass escutcheon at wrist. Patchbox cavity has been filled. Two sling swivels. Hardwood ram rod. Barrel retained by wrapped wire.

    Condition: Fair as configured. Metal a smooth, slightly mottled blue-brown age patina. Repairs to stock at muzzle, forearm, front of lock and previously mentioned patchbox. Ram rod too tight to remove by hand. Action needs repair. Does not stop in cocked position.
