    Enfield Tower 1856 Percussion Musket.

    Unserialized, approximately .62 caliber, 39-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Lock marked: (crown) / V.R. and 1856 / TOWER. Various British proof marks to the left side of barrel. Smooth walnut straight stock with three barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod. Brass triggerguard and buttplate.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and pitting. Scattered dings, scuffs and bruising present to stock. Some wood loss to base of fore-end and along edge of fore-end on the right side. Action functions. Pitted bore.
