    Colt First Model Revolving Sporting Rifle. Serial no. 471(all matching), .40 caliber, 27-inch part round barrel with dovetailed german silver blade front and elevating friction pattern rear sights. Ball rammer lever catch. Threaded cleaning rod. Spurred triggerguard. Cylinder marked 471. Varnished walnut stock with curved steel buttplate which is marked 471. Condition: Good for this model. Metal a smooth, mottled blue brown patina with scatted dents and scratches. Oiler absent. Cylinder with old repair to front bushing. Hammer cocks and fires but cylinder does not rotate during the process. Scene is worn smooth. Stock is very good with age wear, patina and soiling with scattered dents and scratches.
