    C. Sharps New Model 1859 Saddle Ring Carbine.

    Serial no. 52418, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and fo9lding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Saddle ring. Receiver marked: R.S. PAWRENCE PAT. / APRIL 12TH, 1859 / C. SHARPS PAT. / OCT. 5TH, 1852. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey age patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Action crisp. Strong bore. The Bill Bentham Collection.
