    C. 1840 Berks County Pennsylvania Full Stock Percussion Rifle. 44" .54 caliber full octagonal smoothbore barrel with very nice smooth dark patina. There is a signature on the top flat of the barrel but it is now illegible. Brass blade front sight on brass dovetailed base, V notch rear sight. Lock and hammer with decorative engraving, mechanically fine. All brass furniture with nice age patina, perfect, including 4 7/8" toe plate. Highly figured curly maple stock with very nice dark age patina. A couple of abrasions at the breech, else the gun is in about perfect untouched condition and a very nice Berks County gun.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
