    British Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mk V Bolt Action Rifle.

    Serial no. A2310 [right side of receiver, barrel, nose cap and underside of stock near the endcap], .303 caliber, 25-inch barrel with folding aperture rear sight and fixed front sight. Standard British gray finish. Right side of butt socket marked [Crown] / ENFIELD / 1924 / ShtLE / V. Barrel dated "'24". Magazine cutoff. Replacement safety lever marked "III" instead of "V". Type 4 magazine. Walnut stock and hand guards with brass butt plate fitted with trap for cleaning tools. Lacking brass stock disk. An uncommon rifle.

    Condition: Good. Moderate to heavy wear to finish, barrel bands may be replacements. Stock with moderate to heavy dings, dents, scratches and some cracking on the rear hand guard. Mechanically very good and with a bright bore.
