Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1898 Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 128062. .30-40 Krag. 30-inch barrel with fixed front sight and Model 1902 rear sight. Metal parts blued; receiver casehardened. Left side of receiver marked "U.S. / MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 128062". Walnut stock and hand guard. Stock with faint circle "P" firing proof and "JLA / 1901" cartouche. Metal buttplate with trap door for cleaning rod. Sold with a military style leather sling.
Condition: Good. Majority of the blue finish on the barrel worn to gray with traces of case color on the receiver. Stock with occasional light scratches and scuffs. Bore dark and a bit dirty. Mechanically sound.
