Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1892 Sporterized Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 6065. .30-40 Krag. 22-inch barrel with hooded front sight, Model 1892 rear sight and Redfield aperture sight. Metal parts blued; bolt in the white. Left side of receiver marked "U.S. / 1894 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 6065". Walnut hand guard and stock. Cleaning rod channel plugged. Stock with no cartouches other than a circle "P" at the rear of the trigger guard. Metal buttplate with trapdoor for cleaning rod.
Condition: Very good as modified. Refreshed bluing retaining approximately 98% finish. Receiver with a smooth gray patina. No magazine cutoff. Stock with light scratches and shallow dents. Bore bright but worn. Mechanically sound.
