    U.S. Rock Island Model 1903 N.R.A. Marked Bolt Action Rifle. Serial no. 235692, .30-06 caliber, 24-inch blued barrel marked: R.I.A./[flaming bomb]/8-13. Marked on bottom near muzzle: C88/P. Hooded front sight marked B on bottom. Ladder type rear sight. Case-hardened receiver. Front of lower tang marked: [flaming bomb]/N.R.A. Left side of stock with 1913 inspector cartouche. These particular markings indicate that this rifle was one of the Rock Island Arsenal 1903 rifles sold to NRA members between 1910 and 1916. Walnut stock and arm guard. Stock marked behind lower tang: S/P [cartouche in circle]. Sling mounts. Leather military sling marked: Rock Island/Arsenal/1916/J.N.S. Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 70-75% finish, the frame showing mottled grey patina and scattered silvered case-hardening. Wood very good as lightly sanded. Sling with wear and checking. Action crisp. Bright bore.
