    British No.1 Mk 4 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with Correct Military Scope. Serial No. H38349, .303 caliber, 25-inch barrel with standard military sights. Left socket marked: M47C/1944/H38349/TR; right side of socket unmarked. Left side of receiver marked: No. 4 Mk I. All visible numbers matching including stock. ENGLAND stamped on the right side of the receiver with caliber information stamped near the muzzle. Manufactured by BSA Shirley, Birmingham, England. Parts finished in a mixture of English wartime types. Stock stamped: S51 (Holland and Holland conversion code) on the underside of the butt and complete with the proper cheekpiece. Non-military leather sling. Accompanied by a No. 32 Mk III military telescopic sight. The scope is number 1678 and dated 1945. The left side is marked: TEL STG NO. 32 MK III/OS 2039 A/AK&S No 28252/1945 and broad arrow proofed. The optics are clear but slightly dirty. The scope is complete with the leather lens protector. Condition: Excellent. Retaining 90-95% of the military finish and showing light use. Bore bright. A fine example of one of the finest sniper rifles of WWII.
