    9.3x62 Mauser Eduard Kettner Bolt Action Sporting Rifle with Telescopic Sight. Serial no. 5957, 9.3 x 62 caliber, 24 1/2-inch round to octagonal barrel with full matted rib top. Standing rear sight with single folding leaf inset into rib. Blued finish with finely checkered pistolgrip stock of dark well-figured walnut. Checkering with fleur-de-lis and scalloped borders. Ebony fore-end tip. Stepped cheekpiece. Checkered horn gripcap. Fine light scroll engraving on action and detailed big game scene (Lion's head) on floorplate. Pachmayr recoil pad. Sling swivels with tooled leather sling. Fitted with a Hensoldt Duralyt 2 3/4x telescopic sight, Paul Jaeger mount. Note: According to consignor, this gun was made in Suhl, Germany by famous gunmaker Eduard Kettner, who was in business between 1922-1939. Condition: Very good to excellent.. Retaining most of finish throughout with light wear and scuffs to metal and wood. Optics clear. Action good. Bore is excellent.
